First Draft.....

23 years....later I cant imagine I am sitting now on OLDTOWN Kopitiam with my laptop drafting what it means to be a path towards something interesting...haha~ never know that from sitting down here usually is not just plainly to drink a cup of coffee chatting out of nothing like those old time, it was a different story that day~~@@!! Good luck my best buddies!!! Let's make it...

Yong Peng,Batu Pahat, Kluang, JB

Southern part of Peninsula Malaysia....hmm not bad get to see some areas although mainly concentrating on my work. Yong Peng is just another small town but in here i can see that their land is just too much to be spared of. You can never see a high rise apartment there or hardly see a double storey house. Some says the some food there is nice but i only happen to taste the wantan duck mee. The first thing i observed here is the extended high poles of television antennas from every house. It is like everyone is competing to place it higher ! I don't see any ASTRO DISH here....all I see is those super high TV antennas. They only tune to Singaporean channels which provides them more than enough entertainment than Astro.

As for Batu Pahat, it's another developing city! There is the usual Hypermarkets competition, the Complexes..and a developing entertainment city well on the way. Every form of entertainment will be focused there. A city to be boomed in near future i think. As for food? nope I didn't have much time to try it. And as for the location, I observed mainly Oil palms plantation and many of them.

In Kluang, there were much happening at nights in this town. Maybe because I was there for the weekend working. There were many tasty food as my alpha roomate told me haha. With some years of staying there, he also said the Chong Hwa Independence School is a must visit....hahaha...but what a pity...I hadn't a chance. Some other friends said that the ikan bakar by a chinese opposite this school tasted nice. Some say the pork satay here is a must try. And some say the roti bakar from Old Rail....and many more...

In JB, of course is just another city but it changed quite a lot since I last stepped here. They Danga Bay, the Tebrau city, the something "walk" near the custom where there is a long alley of hawker food, the Nasi Ambang. ...

Working Outstation......

Get to travel? Get to explore? no need sit at office??? got outstation allowance?...yah tyah...this are just the decoys.....the....things that lure you into when someone is posted anywhere. Unless the company is well established and afford to give w/o certain stinginess....then your job maybe good n smooth. Whereas if you meet up with the opposite case, the company is just a newborn baby of not more than 5 years with plenty to No's and No's and No's.....Save's n Save's n Save's....you will be ended up in a real great exposure.

Engineer in this case will travels as a position of an RF engineer, a secretary, a administrator, a driver, a technician, sometimes an accountant, and a BACKPACKER. Imagine if the budget is too tight, the resources given for the work is under maintained....and the worst case is when it is under maintained....something will just go boommm....!

My task heavily depends on the car, the laptops, the power supplies generated by the car's battery through an inverter, and the GPS. Any devices that happens to be spoiled during my work will generate a great havoc in the day's and following day's work. Imagine a car without air-conditioning traveling in a busy traffic city, imagine a redoing everything when the laptop accidentally shut down without warning due to low battery because the inverter plays up. Imagine having to see the power supply smoke up due to the heat inside the car because of the air-con failure. Imagine sweating in the hot afternoon, holding the laptop on the lap and doing work....

A chain reaction that is what i going to say....when it comes to do anything in this field. A well informed notice has been given to the superior for the car problem but due to budgeting there goes the normal reply that is to squeeze whatever you got till it really break down....bla bla...So life goes on....what to do .... Surprising, it fails once during "his visit" to the car. But the air is just normal compared to what we suffer and only then he fills some little action. Even though the air-con problem continues...

Nevertheless, working outstation means saving as much as possible to the company and finish the work as fast as possible even through weekend and nights. Although there are daily allowance, lodging, and compensation leave for weekends but it is still pretty tiring for non-stop working. Talking about lodging they provided...or i can say we provide ourself. The only thing they provide is the usual advice of budget at RM100 per night. Working for the whole day, feeling greatly exhausted everyday because of the daily traveling from place to place. The nights came to us fast as we approached the city of JB where nothing will be as cheap as hotel rates. Even the cheapest rate of the 3 stars hotel will be more than rm100. ...... larr...what you expect JB mah......you think another ulu place meh~~!!

A phone call to the "person in charge" , he called us to find more hotels to get the cheapest. Walueh...so tired liao still want continue do this kinda of "not our job" work. If he so much so concern of the cost, the company should have pre-arrange some selected hotels around malaysia with registered corporate price lah. Now that they dint do anything , expecting us to find surely will not get it cheap or maybe its already fully booked. The usual cheapest hotel is full house. Another call to the person by my senior, a hinted voice from him to my senior stating that why not we bumped into my senior's cousin house...first of all we can have a 50% lodging claim from the hotel rates there which was to be around RM70. ..He say first of all we can save and second the company can save. With this sentence...really make me wanna scream.....how can this company be so stingy....they wan oso i don want lah~~!! Having need to suddenly bump into people's house ...OH MY GOD....what an awkwardly way...surely if i pay them oso i wont fell comfortable with that...~!....oh my..how stingy

Luckily, after endless effort of finding, we came back to the cheapest hotel and found out that a customer cancel the reservation of the room. Thus, at least a good luck for a tiring day. The cheapest rate in this hotel after registering to a corporate price ourself will be arnd rm120 ++....
